Yarruwala Yalul Always
During the 'Yarruwala Yalul Always' festival, I had the privilege of leading an art workshop at City Park in Griffith, where participants from across the community came together to create a collaborative artwork. The festival was a vibrant celebration of culture, unity, and connection, and the painting process reflected that shared spirit. Each brushstroke or bot added by community members symbolised their individual stories, hopes, and creativity. It was a powerful experience to witness the piece evolve, embodying the diverse voices of our community. After the event, the finished artwork was presented as a gift to the Griffith Community Centre, a lasting reminder of our collective creativity and the bonds forged during this meaningful event.
