Eco dying the natural habitat of the Bittern bird
Threatened Birds Of The Riverina
In the group exhibition "Threatened Birds of the Riverina," I focus on the Australasian Bittern nesting in rice fields. Partnering with David and Nancy Lashbrook, I observed the Bittern nesting at Farm 207 "Linola" Coleambally, using natural fibres and rice crop materials to create mixed-media artworks. Working with Master Print maker Basil Hall, this collection of etchings, screen-prints and mixed media highlights the importance of conservation and celebrates the beauty of our local wildlife.
It was a pleasure to be exhibiting alongside artists Jan Lawler, Miranda Brett, Josephine Duffy, Hape Kiddle, Cory McKenzie, Allan McKenzie, Michael Lyons, Sophie Chauncy, Sharon De Valentin, The Spot Gallery Hay, Samantha Davies, Robyn Davis, Sarah Allen, Bernard Higgins, Jason Richardson, Finley Art Network, Linzie Joanne Nardi, David Booth Ghostpatrol
