River Country
The artwork created by the MAKE group, inspired by their lived experiences and connection to the land, showcased their profound storytelling and bond through friendship and kinship. The project involved creating cut cardboard forms inspired by the ecosystem’s plants, and species, our group's species was the Rakali and Murray Cod.
Participating in the 'Living on the Edge - River Country' community project was an honour. The M.A.K.E group, alongside other artists and community members, contributed artworks reflecting the ecosystem's beauty, embodying the spirit of collaboration and environmental advocacy.The project culminated in a vibrant 'River Country' community day, engaging thousands of visitors and sparking meaningful conversations about the preservation of our natural and cultural heritage.
