A beautiful morning immersed in the remnants of the 2022 flooding of the Murrumbidgee River… inspiration for the art work
Ngurambang Our Riverina
"Ngurambang Our Riverina" showcased at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery, curated by Jason Richardson, celebrates our Riverina landscape. Inspired by my family's deep connection to the Riverina, my artworks pay homage to the land and its history. Drawing from my grandmother's diary during the 1952 floods, I immersed papers into the Murrumbidgee flood waters in 2022, creating a profound connection between past and present. Through my art, I honour the enduring strength and depth of our connections to nature and my ancestors.
It was a pleasure to be exhibiting alongside artists: Veronica Collins, Christopher Haworth, Peter Ingram, Hape Kiddle, Sophie Chauncey, Marita Macklin, Janine Murphy, Greg Pritchard, Jason Richardson Jo Roberts and Melanie Evans
